-love, in all its many forms, can both exceed and fail to meet expectations, so better off having less expectations to begin with.

-being a person with class has more to do with kindness than cost of living.

-time, death, and laundry are the great equalizers. you are neither above nor can you evade these dues to be paid.

-refinement should never lead to condescension.

-animals are to be treated with respect and love at all times. (except cockroaches. to hell with those bastards.)

-the most beautiful people are not always the most beautiful people. don’t get too hung up on the facade.

-humor is as universal as death and must be utilized daily to connect with other humans.

-plants, animals, dirt, air, music, joy, and sunshine are considered perfectly valid forms of medicine.

-dark is not necessarily depressing.

-style is how we live our lives as art and is worth consideration and effort.
